Tristan is an urban planner from Nova Scotia who has worked in Montreal, Guyana, Venezuela and Halifax. He advocates for sustainable planning with the Ecology Action Centre, writes an urban issues column with Metro, and contributes to Spacing. He worked as a campaign manager in Halifax’s last municipal election, and believes more planners should do the same, as an implementation strategy for our area of expertise. He has devoted his life and career to reforming planning so building communities that support the basic needs of human health becomes the new minimum standard.
